- Hair should be neat and clean
- Keep away from an “extreme” look – frizzy, too full, teased or too long.
- Use a dandruff shampoo the day before interview
- Always comb hair with jacket off
- Make-up should appear natural
- Nails should be very clean
- Manicure, if possible
- Keep away from overly distracting shades (use very low-key colors)
- No perfume
- Scents can be offensive-some people are allergic to fragrances
- Wear a well tailored suit or dress
- Basic solid colors such as Navy, Gray, Black, Pinstripe are in good taste
- Blouses or sweaters that go with your suit should be tailored
- Your colors should complement your suit (white, off white, beige)
- Shoes should be a nice closed toe pump
- Do not wear open toe or sling backs
- Make sure the leather on the shoe is well polished
- Stocking should be in a neutral shade
- Limit the amount of jewelry worn and make sure its not distracting
- Never wear a handful of rings
- Body language is important.
- Candidate should always cross legs at the ankles, not the knees
- Always have a straight posture
- Turn off portable phones or beepers in an interview
